Revision......what?

I finally started my revision today, it was a long road to get into it but once I finally started, it felt good.

I think the problem is with revision is the starting point, the first 20 minutes are the worst as you are constantly thinking "Oh I could be spending my time doing much better things right now", and you're right, you probably could, but think long term, look into your future and think how successful you could be.............................Nah, thats probably not going to help either.

From my personal view, you need to think short term. If you are planning a day set for revision make sure you plan something for the evening or the day after. Nothing it worst than just spending a whole day revising then having nothing to look forward to, however don't just set aside an hour before you're going out because I can guarantee you won't get anything done, you will more than likely be focused on getting ready and making sure your hair is held together with enough hairspray.

What always helps me is I don't set a strict plan of action, I allow it to be versatile. As long as you know what needs doing by a certain deadline then thats fine but just don't have a strict timetable....because if you are like me, you are not always in the mood or correct mind frame to focus on a certain or specific points, just do that bit when it feels right.

If you feel like nothing is going in then STOP, move onto another subject or section because it is more likely to go in when you next come back to it.

Like said above don't stick to a strict timetable, have a versatile one just with the things outlined that you need revise, then when it comes to it, do what you feel and most of all don't get stressed because at the end of the day you are guaranteed to do well because there's a lot of people out there who won't even of have revised, so you're one step ahead and well, they are still that one or probably two steps behind.

Who are you?

Who are you? and what are you?
Does that even matter?

You should just be yourself no matter what. You are who you are and no one can change that, labels may define yourself to society but it doesn't define you as an individual. Why should you care what people think of you, why should you act differently to just please someone? You shouldnt!

We are all our own individual person with our own preferences and ways, not everyone will like that but, who are they to like what you are. As long as you like yourself then what's the issue?

Only you can dislike what you hear about yourself but then again why should you let that bother you, the person telling you stuff you don't like, it doesn't bother them, if just gives them something to do, something to talk about. Dont let it get to you because its worthless, time wasting and purely their own opinion.

We all have our own opinion and we all are very keen to share this personal opinion but you shouldn't let someone's personal opinion affect you or cause you harm in anyway. Only you as an individual can not let this get to you, its not getting to anyone else, only you! So why should it get you?

Be who you are.
Be what you are.
Be yourself.

Men and fake tan

Summer is coming, Winter is basically still here and well im still pale... what about you?

Under 18's can't legally use sunbeds nor afford a trip to a exotic climate, so what do we do? FAKE TAN.

Many people mock fake tan, but it can be so successful as long as you apply it correctly and follow the right steps. Male or female, fake tan is unisex. Us males want to look like we have also had a month long holiday in the maldives as well you know! If you are male and reading this dont be ashamed by fake tanning but be proud, you are just making yourself look 10x healthier (or orange-er, this wont happen if you read on).

Guide to fake tanning- aimed at males.

  • Consider the time of year... are you going to be going topless and getting your legs out? if YES then fake tan the whole body, if NO then just do your face, neck and arms.
  • How hairy are you?- fake tan will apply over bodily hair but c'mon if its that much then why are you even fake tanning? you wont be able to see it.  (I suggest a trip to the waxing salon)
  • Beard or no beard...if you regularly shave make sure you shave the night before or a few hours before applying the fake tan, when you shave your pores open, open pores and fake tan = bad fake tan.
STEPS 5,6,7,8.....
  1. Plan your tanning session in advance- leading up to your tan exfoliate in the shower or bath with a good scrubber and keep your skin moisturized
  2. Shave the night before or a few hours before (like said above).
  3. Make sure you buy the right tan and a good brand (if you are pale then use your common sense and go for a light/medium fake tan...don't buy dark as you know and i'm telling you, you will be orange (unless you are naturally dark).
  4. Before applying the tan, apply moisturizer on your;  feet, knees, elbows and hands, this will cause it to darken in these places.
  5. When applying the tan make sure you are in a suitable location- your best bet is the bathroom.
  6. MAKE SURE YOU USE A MIT (not a plastic carrier bag, yes this is a true story of someones applying method)
  7. Get a friend to do your back! How ever flexible you are, it still wont go over evenly on your back, so phone a friend.
  8. Once the tan has been applied, 'Relax, take is eassssyyyyyyyy' (Mika reference) don't even wash your hands as you will just smudge the tan before it develops. Don't Sweat. Don't move. Don't do anything. DO you want it to be uneven......
  9. After a good 6 hours (depends on the brand but it is usually this time) take a shower but don't scrub, just rub your body in your shower gel, you could take a bath if you want to experience brown water?
Following these steps will lead you to have a fabulous tan, if it doesn't then I don't take the blame, you obviously did it wrong.

BTW: when applying don't worry if it doesn't look dark enough, it will develop and darken over time- don't keep putting more and more on.

ST.MORIZ fake tan, what I use, good value and a great tan.

Men and Foundation...

I dont know about you, but I like to spend a bit of time getting ready, I like to see that transformation from the shower and I like to look in the mirror and see good skin...however I cant do that with out a bit of artificial colouring in my life.

Until recently I have had  awful skin with terrible acne but luckily (after trying every medicine in the books) it has started to clear up and I can finally work on those scars that like to leave their mark; thankfully I was blessed and the scars are not deep and not very noticeable, but still to me I would like them gone. Anyway getting back on track over the last few years when my skin has been bad I would feel mortified by the spots and do everything possible to cover them up; this is when I discovered foundation.

To begin with I just borrowed (stole) my Mums but sooner or later I realised I needed something to match my skin type and tone..."How could I possible go to the shop and buy it without feeling judged"- I didn't I got my friends to do it, however now I will quite happily do it. When I first applied I just presume no one would notice, I was wrong, VERY wrong.

"James have you got foundation on?" No, No No, don't be silly.

Over time I got better at applying it and started to admit it because I thought 'WHY can't I wear it, theres no label saying 'woman only'!

If you are like me and need a foundation good for oily skin, then I recommend trying a tinted moisturizer designed to target the spots as well as cover. I personally use 'Witch- anti blemish tinted moisturizer' which is about £5 online and as well as that I use a basic cheap concealer to hide the bags and scars that are yet to disappear.

Hi, Hello, Hey or Goodbye

Yo,

So this is all new to me, but I plan on making regular posts to this blog, 'bare with', 'bare with' as one would say but I hope to make this exciting, fun and sassy.

I like to see myself as a regular teenage boy who enjoys sports, gaming and....I'll stop myself right there.

I'm not your average teenager, firstly I am openly gay so if you are some alpha male who is looking for a blog on sport, gaming and girls I would just stop reading and exit the page. Im hoping to post content on this blog regarding fashion, lifestyle, opinions and just my general experiences of life.

I like to refer to myself as 'Sassy' which was probably the best life decision I made at the start of 2014, since then my life has become fun, interesting and different. I do like to be serious but in my writing do expect the odd pun or joke and most of all don't take any offence. (for those who do not see it, this paragraph was a joke)

If you are still reading this and think 'omg who is this person' then this page just isn't for you, but if you are still reading and thinking 'hmm this could be interesting' then welcome to my blog and I hope you enjoy it.

Follow me on twitter @jamesajefferson for the 140 character limit posts as well as the updates to this blog.

Heres to the 'start of something new' (High School Musical reference; get use to those)
I know it all looks abit boring at the moment but give me time to be creative on it.

Tah, James
